Flames of Remembrance
We invite you to create a 'Flame of Remembrance' to commemorate Holocaust Memorial Day next week.
The 27th January is Holocaust Memorial Day, and the theme for this year is ‘Be the light in the darkness’. To commemorate, KS3 will be making ‘Flames of Remembrance’ in their lessons, which we will be virtually displaying. We would like to open this up to all students across the school, as it is such an important event to remember and such a meaningful message.
The Holocaust occurred during World War Two, and involved the mass murder of over 6 million Jewish people in concentration camps, under the Nazi regime. This day of remembrance also includes remembering more recent genocides. For more information about Holocaust Memorial Day and making a Flame of Remembrance, please view the video below.
