Food Bank Collection
This Christmas we are collecting items for Bridgnorth Food Bank
2020 has been a strange year for all of us. Christmas has always been the time of giving, but this year it is even more important to carry this message. This Christmas at Oldbury Wells, we are donating items to Bridgnorth Food Bank, to try and help those who need it the most this year within our local community. The food bank is a fantastic cause - the volunteers package up food parcels and other essential items to help support people who otherwise could not afford these things.
The co-op have kindly organised to collect all of our donations and take them to the food bank this year. To allow time for this to happen, we would like all donations to be in school by Tuesday 15th December.
Bridgnorth Food Bank website has a list of items that will help them out, we've also written the list onto the donation boxes around school, with some added Christmas items on. Please remember that any perishable foods cannot be accepted.
In school, you will find donation boxes in the West reception, and the East and West Hall. For Sixth Form, there is a box downstairs in the Sixth Form Study Centre. Please abide by Covid safety measures and guidelines when donating your items:
- You must wear a face mask
- You must abide by social distancing rules (2 metres apart)
- Do not enter either hall unless it is your year group bubble allotted slot
- Do not touch other people's donated items
It would be great to see as many staff and students as possible getting involved with such a fantastic cause at Christmas. Thank you for your all of your support.
