We welcomed Alan Atkin from the Shropshire Music Service into school, who led the workshop with students with a range of instrumental abilities from Year 7 through to Sixth Form which included learning 3 pieces of music that had been arranged for our ensemble and one piece which had been specially composed for us.

Our students learnt a great deal from the experience, from Alan’s expertise as a musical director; being able to collaborate with one another and play as an ensemble for the first time in two and a half years and for some students, for the first time.

OWS Orchestra has re-launched!  We will now be rehearsing every other Friday after school until 4.30pm.
