(10th July 2023) Our World War I battlefield visit to Ypres and the Somme got off to a cracking start with everyone ready bright and early and raring to go. On this visit we will be investigating how World War I is remembered today and what it means to 21st Century students. No blue birds over the white cliffs of Dover as we sailed across the channel but no one minded as there was plenty of sun. After a Belgian meal at our lovely chateau style hotel we are all looking forward to a history packed day tomorrow.
