Congratulations to our Year 11 students!
Students celebrated as they picked up their GCSE exam results with us this morning.
We were very pleased to meet with year 11 this morning to distribute their examination results. We were hugely impressed by their positivity and resilience in what has been a tricky couple of weeks nationally for year 11 and year 13 pupils. Congratulations to all of our pupils for their hard work and commitment throughout their courses, which means they are picking up very strong results today. A particular well done goes to the eight students who we have achieved a remarkable nine or more top passes today."
100% of examinations were passed at Oldbury Wells this year, with an excellent 86% at the old grade C or higher. The eight students with who gained at least nine grades at the old A*/A grade level are: Jude Watters, Georgia Pratley, Jacob Yeomans, Millie Carter, Grace Lee, Bethany Caine, Emma Grundy and Huw Morgan.
Some Year 11 students are still awaiting a few results this morning, because some BTEC qualifications are being re-calculated by the examination Boards, following an announcement last night. We will be passing these remaining examination results, along with the final Sixth Form results from last week to our students as soon as we have received them from the examination Boards. Thank you to students and parents for their patience and understanding.
Can I take this opportunity to thank our team of staff this morning, staff have met with each individual pupil today to give them their results to congratulate them and to support them in their next steps.
We wish all students the very best for the future and are here if they need any further advice and guidance as they mve into the next stage of their education.
